Let’s show some C.A.R.E. to our patients
By: Deanna Serrano, Senior Practice Services Manager
How many of you see patients daily and share information about how great the latest products are and what the widget will do for them? Next, you dive in to a deep explanation of the audiogram? You have answered all of their questions and you finally make your professional recommendation. The price discussion happens with three or more choices of technology and the patient politely indicates they need to go home and “think about it” or “talk to a family member.” You give the patient a brochure, they walk out the door, and you never be see them again. You may shrug your shoulders about it and put them in the tested-not-treated file.
What would it mean to be able to take those patients who are coming to you for perhaps the first time and capitalize on these opportunities to guide more patients into better hearing? Happier patients, increased growth for the practice, word-of-mouth or all of the above!
Inner Circle members now have access to our new C.A.R.E. provider training program.
It doesn’t matter how long you have been a provider, we can always sharpen our skills. C.A.R.E. stands for Connection, Action, Recommendation and Execution. The training is designed to take you through each stage of the HAE process.
Patients have many available options when it comes to receiving help for their hearing loss, and they are demanding the best patient care partnered with an exceptional patient experience. The C.A.R.E. training program for hearing care professionals shares methods of counseling patients while enhancing what providers already do so well. Providers will review how to establish trust and demonstrate need through motivational interviewing to understand the impacts of hearing loss on patients and their loved ones. The program also teaches providers how to create value in their recommendations to patients.
What are the benefits of the C.A.R.E. training program?
